This is my 2nd Basement Watchdog. I replaced the first one after twenty years, not because it quit working, but because the main sump pump went out after ten years. So I decided to replace both. My old Basement Watchdog Worked when the main pump failed. I put the original Basement Watchdog in when our daughter called me at work and informed me that the basement was full of water. $10,000.00 worth of damage. The Basement Watchdog is a cheap insurance policy. It’s an easy installation.

Bought a BWE after my main failed 2 years ago. Last month the alarm went off indicating that the water was high enough to activate BWE float, but pump did not function and is obviously now dead.

I replaced my primary AC sump pump. After 8 years the pump float switch went bad. Since I was replacing the system, I decided to replace my 15 year old Basement Watchdog DC pump. The old Watchdog system was still working but I wanted to upgrade and replace. I like the new feature on the Watchdog where I can silence the alarm if I need to.
