Great Part - Better Service

I called to discuss this part with a representative from Sump Pumps Direct, whether or not it would work, instructions for installation, etc. The representative, Jim was just fantastic, and went above and beyond to make sure I had the correct part and was set up to have a successful installation. He even gave me a number to the manufacturer to discuss the issues I had with the old part. Jim was someone who was not only good at his job, but cared about the quality of work he does. I'll definitely be using them again for future plumbing needs!

Not What I Expected

I might have read the description wrong but I THOUGHT that the control range was from the bottom of the unit. Instead it is from the top up. Will not work in my application. I wanted my money.

Happy StormPro Pumper
By Robert

Review Posted 05/02/2013
I was using a 1/3 hp sump pump purchased at a big-box retailer rated at 2700 gph at 10 feet of head. The pump was unable to keep up with the inflow during a recent monumental rain. Fortunately my backup and primary running simultaneously were able to keep even, but together they could not drain the pit. I replaced both pumps with the StormPro BA33M and the StormPro Maxx backup system and could not be happier with my purchase. I got one pump with the ion switch and one for backup with a vertical float switch. Both work great.
These pumps are much much quieter than the pump I was using before and obviously pump a lot more water for the same horsepower of pump. The difference is quite remarkable--the StormPro pumps 6 and 1/2 inches of water out of my pit (24 inch diameter), including a steady inflow of new water while the pit is being pumped, in way way less time than my previous pump took to do the same job. I also replaced my previous backup system that I had purchased at a big-box retailer. I did not realize it at the time, but the backup pump in that system was only rated at 2200 gph at a 10 foot head. Not a powerful enough pump. The StormPro Maxx system uses the same 1/3 hp BA33M that I am also using as my primary pump.
Sumppumpsdirect was great--everything was delivered promptly, no hitches or glitches. Plus I called StormPro before I purchased and they were happy to help me sort out what pump size and arrangement would work best for me, regardless of whether I ended up buying a StormPro or not.

FINALLY A SWITCH THAT WORKS!
By Michael J, Sump Pumps Direct

On a daily basis we get phone calls and emails about float switches. Most float switches are prone to failure because they have moving parts parts.
Maybe the float itself breaks or maybe it gets stuck and your pump burns out or you end up with a flooded basement. Something had to be done about that.
Metropolitan Industries decided to do something about switch failure. They have created the world’s first digital level controller for use with residential sump and sewage pumps.
There’s no moving parts or contact points in this switch.
It uses solid-state sensing computer technology that requires no maintenance or cleaning. The switch is also safe to use with inverter based battery backup systems.
This is a switch that can truly change the sump pump industry, we suggest you try one out for yourself.
