Longest Lasting Pump

I have been having basement pumps since house was built in 1970. Apparently sitting on a spring. I would have pump failure usually within a couple of years. In 2010, my basement waterproofing company finally installed this model pump under their name, followed by a second one for my other sump in 2011. Up until then, I had been buying their 3 year extended warranty and having them constantly replace inoperative pumps. These new pumps outlasted my 3 year warranty and I think they finally have a winner pump. I did not renew the expired warranty in 2014 and have had the pumps in constant use until now, 2019.
During those years, I have only had to take them outside once to open and clear build-up of silt-rust. Research has determined that the waterproof company is apparently re-labeling the BA-75I. My main pump runs every 20 to 60 seconds and, after almost 9 years is sounding like a bearing problem and low output. My research brought me to the BA 75I, which I just received and swapped out both, by the way are identical with exception of labeling. I can not stress how happy I was to finally have pumps that lasted more than a year!

My Perfect Replacement Pump
By Richard A.

I’ve had my sump system (first ever) since 2012. This is the pump the company I hired installed (although they slapped their own label on it and called it something else) and it has worked flawlessly for 6 1/2 years. Well, almost flawlessly. The only hiccup was a single instance last September when it developed a vapor lock and failed to pump. The result was a minor flood before discovered. All I had to do was unplug it and plug it back in. Problem solved. That incident got me thinking I should at least have a backup pump on hand just in case. This pump is my hands down choice. Quiet and powerful. If the original ever really fails I will happily replace it with this (same) pump. I highly recommend it. (PS: I’ve since hired another company to come install a second, connected sump well with a pair of 1/2 hp pumps, providing my basement with a triple redundancy for peace of mind).

Excellent Pump For Those Who Need To Move A Lot Of Water!

I bought this pump because I needed a very efficient and powerful pump. The water table is very high in my area, and during the Spring I am pumping about once every hour. This pump is very powerful, and can move a large volume of water without issue. It was much easier to install as far as having very good threads on the housing compared to my last pump. It did take some experimentation to get the sensor set at my desired height, but it is very easy to adjust. Overall, this is a very nice pump, which is very quite compared to my last pump, and also seems to be very well made. I definitely recommend it.
