This was a replacement for Zoeller pump that had been in service since June 2017. The main pump was still going strong but the backup had seized up. The homeowner wanted the backup pump operational since the main pump runs every 5-8 minutes, lots of ground water! The new controller has a test button so now the homeowner can test and run the backup each month to keep it from seizing up from lack of use, yes the main pump is that good and the power have not gone off for any length of time.

I bought this pump January of ‘21, installed it a few months later so at this point I’ve had it operational for right about 2 years (it’s April of ‘23). The pump is showing a good deal of rust! I was really shocked actually. My pump does not typically sit submerged in water, rarely does it need to turn on as a matter of fact but to see it rust like that is a huge surprise. I could’ve gotten a cheapo from HD but decided to go for one of superior quality - this was supposed to be it. Contacted sump pump direct and was simply told they’ve seen worse and that these pumps typically last 5-7 years. I don’t know about you but I was expecting way better than that.

Product was shipped promptly and well packaged. Installation was easy and straightforward requiring a minor modification to the 1 1/2 PVC discharge pipe. Pump is quieter than the old “builders special” pump. Would highly recommend.

Purchased pump kit based on online literature that indicated I could connect my hone alarm system to the controller so that home alarm system would be notified when there is a low battery or other situation occurring. Kit arrived with controller that does not have this connection. Tried to ask/email sumppumps direct and they did not answer the question so I called Zoeller who told me the OLD controller had the home alarm system connection but NEW controller does not. Old controller was phased out, per Zoeller rep, "years ago". BEWARE Sumppumpsdirect has incorrect product literature on their website. I did let sumppumpsdirect know of the issue and to date the website has not been updated to reflect accurate product specs/manuals.

This sump pump replaced a Zoeller that was 24 years old. The pre-plumbed back up is really nice and easy to install. The previous pump had a 1 1/4” outlet, based upon recommendations I installed a new 1 1/2” outlet. The performance is outstanding. My sump pit is very narrow so I was very concerned about the fit, but this installed and fit nicely. The instructions are top notch and make it very easy to install. You will have to purchase a battery. I went with a high quality/ high capacity AGM battery. The battery housing fit the largest capacity AGM I could find without issue. The 508 control panel works great and the lights are very easy to understand.

The sump pump was pretty easy to install. The pump and backup combination were of excellent quality. I was actually replacing a Zoeller sump pump that was working just fine but was 14 years old and I didn't want to risk failure. Also my previous Zoeller pump did not have a backup. I am very happy with my purchase.

Had an old Ridigid pump in a house I just purchased 6 months ago. The old pump wasnt keeping up we live in a very wet area. Got the new pump installed, its been a week and so far it keeps up and runs quieter than the old pump!
