Short Term Life

They seem to only last a couple of months. They freeze up and stop working. Have replaced several of them.

Expert Response
Very sorry to hear you're having issues. Zoeller pumps have a very low failure rate. If this is happening to you on a regular basis, you're probably using the wrong type of pump for your application. Effluent pumps are only designed to handle small solids. If debris is the reason they're freezing up on you, I'd suggest trying a Sewage Pump for your application. Sewage pumps are designed to handle larger solids present in the water.

Good Product With Bad Switches
By John

Review Posted 01/23/2017
This pump works well when it's new. However, after two years the float switch becomes problematic and stops all together. I've had to have three of these pumps installed in less than six years due to faulty switches. Including the installation, the price equates to about $1,000.00 per pump. I believe the manufacturer should build a better switch mechanism for a product which is by and large excellent.

After 20+ Year I Needed Another
By Bradford S.
Lake Stevens, Washington
Purchased 09/12/2016 |
Review Posted 10/03/2016
I needed an effluent pump for my basement plumbing and a friend said to get a Zoeller. That was over 20 years ago. The first one finally gave it up and I didn't hesitate for one second to buy another. They are worry-free work horses and don't think I would ever consider buying a different pump. I highly recommend Zoeller.
