320 a lot of money for battery, however also got hoping good quality and perfect match for Wayne back up solution also bought. I am sure you can pay a lot less for similar battery. That said Sump Pumps Direct on pump unit I bought was best price I found...so overall happy!

I am a woman in my 60's living alone. A plumber who was working on something else told me that I needed to replace the battery in my backup sump pump and that it would cost $400. So I looked on the internet for a company from whom I could purchase the battery and found this company near my home. The man on the phone was helpful and friendly. A friend was kind enough to install it for me. However, the light on the pump is still yellow ("Low battery") after more than week of charging. I don't know if I was sold a nearly dead battery or if there is something else wrong. I have no recourse unless I want to spend hundreds more to have a serviceman come to my home. I'm very disappointed.

It would be a rare occurrence that you would received a dead battery. The issue may be with the controller/charger on the system. If you can locate the owner's manual for the backup system, the troubleshooting section would be the best place to start.

Bought the kit and battery together. Kit got here first, battery took a couple extra days. The kit was easy to install and the pump drains my sump in no time.
The battery was a little pricey but has worked well so far. Would have probably been better off buying a battery locally...less cost and no wait.
I have had the system for for a couple of months and so far so good.

I chose Wayne because of their Maintenance Free Battery. Both pumps work perfectly from the day I installed them.
The only thing I would suggest is to simplify the instructions. After sorting thru a pile about a ½” thick covering all types of pumps, except the ones I bought, the instructions that pertained to my pumps would have fit on one side of a postcard, a diagram with key, period.
Except for the instruction fiasco, an excellent product!!

Just tested this battery after three and one half years connected to back up sump pump. Never had power outage where we needed it to work, so it's just been sitting there on it's trickle charger waiting for an emergency. Tested it and it did not run the pump. Red light came on. Took it to OReilly Auto to be tested and it came up as bad. 200 CCA.
This battery is supposed to last 10 years. Did not make it.

The unit arrived in a very timely manner. I was not aware that the PVC fittings came with the unit as well. It's just as the picture shown on the web site. So that save's a trip to the hardware store. Very easy to install, and it works like a champ.

Jim, I have the Wayne esp25 back up pump but have no idea as to which battery is the best fit for it. Should I get the AGM or this Wayne wsb1275 acid filled battery?? Your thoughts please.

It is not clear from the picture what type of connection is accommodated from the backup pump. My 3 year old Wayne ESP 25 backup sump pump control box unit has ring terminals for the two battery connection leads. Will my ring terminals connect directly to this WSB1275 battery, or do I need some type of adapter?
