Purchased the Storm pro Maxx with two batteries and 13HP pump Feb 2011. First use was Saturday-Sunday during Hurricane Irene hitting the East Coast. Pump was going on every 10 seconds with power on. Sunday at 9:00AM the power went out. Battery backup took over instantly. Pump was going on every minute and eventually once every 4 minutes. The inverter powered the pumped just as good as when electricity was on. Power came back on at 2:30AM on Monday. Battery backup worked for 17.5 hours. Recharged the battery in 43 hours. Saved me a big basement mess. Neighbors had 6 to 10 inches of water in their basements due to sump pumps loosing electricity. Would Highly recommend this pump and battery backup system.
