This system will blow you away for the cost and the features included. The Pro-Series PHCC-2400 Battery Back Up Sump Pump System will evacuate approximately 40 gallons per minute at a 10-foot lift! The 13-amp battery charger has the ability to charge standard & maintenance free batteries and quickly recharges the battery when power is restored.
One of the great features of this system is its ability to run on 120-volt AC power when power is on. It switches to 12-volt DC battery power when AC power fails, automatically and it includes an exclusive monitoring system w/weekly self-test. This system can also alert you remotely with the separate purchase of the PHCC Pro Series Connect WiFi Module.
With a 3 year warranty, it's easy to see why we recommend this product. Just don't forget the batteries. This system requires 1 or 2, 100 Amp Hour or greater batteries. This is usually going to be a Group 27 or Group 31 Deep-Cycle Marine AGM or Wet Cell Battery.

5 Years In, I'd Still Buy It Again
By Chris S

Review Posted 07/16/2024
I bought this unit 5 years ago after having my main pump fail and not having any backup solution. Since I installed it, we've had 1-2 electricity outages per year that require it to kick on...fortunately, those outages have generally been pretty short (1-2 hours) but one recent one lasted a whole day. In each instance, the pump has worked seamlessly and I have no doubt that it helped prevent water in our basement in the most recent outage, which definitely pays for the cost of it. One feature I really like is the weekly testing it does--after 5 years, I noticed the alarm going off and the backup pump had failed due to a short (it happens). I quickly purchased a new one and replaced it, but I was grateful that that the testing told me there was an issue before I had to find out otherwise. (A week later, we received 4 inches of rain in one day and, although the unit never kicked on because my main pump handled it, I slept better knowing it was taken care of.) Overall, I'm a happy customer and recommend this unit to others.

Very Reliable Back Up System
By Michael S

Purchased 03/11/2024 |
Review Posted 04/02/2024
We installed this back up system initially in 2010 to back up our main 1/2 hp pump. When it rains hard, this pump would also kick on to assist the main pump in draining the sump pit, a feature I love about this along with test button on the control module to run the pump anytime. In 2015 we replaced just the back up pump as it seemed to be slower to drain the pit. After 14 years, we just replaced the whole pump system again to have piece of mind. It's a great system at a really good price, it's cheaper now than 14 years ago. It's also a testament to the quality and design as they still make this model after all these years. Sumps Direct has been great, I am a repeat customer, they had this pump delivered the very next day - I highly recommend both the system and Sump Pumps Direct

Quality Pump From Leading Manufacturer

I've had back-up sump pump systems from Glentronics (manufacturer of Pro Series) for many years. Fortunately they've never had to be activated, but given the reputation and quality of Glentronics products, the Pro Series provides me w/great confidence. Also, my plumber does big commercial jobs, as well as residential ones, and he recommended Pro Series, which he holds in high regard.

So Far So Good

I am satisfied with this back up system so far. I installed it myself about 1 week ago. I had several issues of not understanding because the instructions were not very informative. Best I can tell is the back up system should be powered by the same outlet as the primary pump. Eventually I will get it all figured out but wish info was more technical.

The control unit has a noisy fan that runs almost continuously, probably not a problem for most people but we have a bedroom in the basement and you can hear the fan thru the insulated wall

Flood Insurance
By Garry M

Review Posted 02/14/2023
I bought this pump over others I was looking at largely due to the dual voltage. My main pump is 5 years old but still going strong, I needed a good back up pump and after much research and review I decided to go with this pump. I've only had it in the pit for a week so I can't give a long term review however it seems to be a strong pump when I tested it. I bought this along with the Pro Series WiFi Module so I would get alerts if this pump ran either due to my main pump failure or a power failure. The Wi-Fi was a bit difficult to connect to my home internet however once I got it online it seems to be working fine. When tested this pump ran strong on both battery and main power. It is an expensive set up however cheap insurance as long as all works as expected when needed.

I'm using this with a 300ah Life po4 battery and it's working great. I forgot to replace the GFCI outlet on the sump pump when we moved into the new house like the plumber told me to and it tripped on two separate occasions both in the first two months and both at night. This worked perfectly and the alarm alerted me when I got up both times at 3am to take some medication. Popped the GFCI outlet both times and the primary pump started working again. Since changing the GFCI outlet out to a regular one no issues. Glad to know that it works as designed so it's now something I don't worry about.

Equipment Tops But Sales Person Not Up To Speed On Everything Ne
By Lou D.

Review Posted 08/20/2021
No issues so far with the equipment ( purchased 3 weeks ago) except the eyelet on the monitor was to0 small on the negative side so it did not fit on a typical battery negative post. I needed to enlarge the hole with a rat tail file and it then fit. My only issue was with the female sales person. She was no help on where I could purchase cover to the sump pump hole to control radon gas. The one I have had to be destroyed to enter the primary sump pump well.
In addition, when following up to the order, she was not accessible or reachable. I had to communicate at least 3 additional sales staff.
Also, be aware the 30 day return policy starts when you order not when you receive the product. Ask for a receive date. The manual seemed to be clear and correct in the various install approaches. Further, the lack of the inside diameter of the battery case when closed should be measured so your battery choice will fit the case.
Before ordering, be aware of your water lift and extension distance to the outside. The sales person never brought it up until I asked the question. Finally, the equipment is not supported by Sump Pump Direct. It is your responsibility to reach out to the manufacturer for problems after the 30 day return policy.

Top Of The Line Backup

I've had a Glentronics backup since 2007 and it's saved me 2-3 times. I upgraded to the newer 2400 so I could use an AGM battery and also set up wifi alerts. They make quality products - well worth the money.

Looking down the road, if and when the pump fails / wears out, would I be able to replace it or do I need to replace the entire unit? Hence, would I be able to use the power inverter or controller with other pumps? Thanks.
