After a long dry spell mid-Michigan received a much needed downpour. It also provided the first test of the Pro-Flo PF92910 I'd installed several weeks earlier. I turned off the breaker to the main pump and the backup pump's charger and put her to the test. The PF92910 did a great job of keeping up with the torrent pouring in. This looks to be a reliable and capable component that can save the day.

Ordering, shipping & delivery was spot on great service. All very well done professionally. Super Great Product that everything I needed. Good installation directions & easy to follow. Easy to install for a DIY project. Really saved a lot of money ordering from Sump Pumps Direct.
A simple drive to the local hardware store to get a few pieces of PVC pipe connections & rubber quick connections & it was easily adapted to use as battery backup with the already installed AC ProFlo Sump Pump that came with the new construction of the home.
Thank you Sump Pumps Direct for a piece of mind knowing that I now have a backup system when the power goes out. Much appreciate the great product you provide. Thank you.

Instructions a little vague, Make sure you follow battery capacity guidelines. Too soon to tell dependability and wear. However, I installed it one day ahead of major two day power outage. Performed as advertised.

Although like many that review the back-up pumps they buy I can't yet attest to its emergency performance, however my first impressions are positive ones. The pump itself is properly sized for smaller sump pits like the one I inherited, and although small, has the feeling of being built robust enough to last. Another feature I liked with this unit was the variety of batteries that can be used to power it.
Proflo provided a nice list of possibilities and I opted to use an optima blue top gel-cel battery for extended performance and no maintenance. The box itself comes with an alarm mute, which seems to be something other people wish their units had, and the alarm itself is loud enough to be heard from the upstairs rooms. It discharges water at an acceptable rate for the size of my pit and while I hope to never need its services, has at least provided me some peace of mind when the weather is bad. So far, so good.
