About 30 years ago I built a concrete storm and wine celler using a 5 gallon bucket as a male plug to form a sump. Finding a replacement pump to fit has gotten harder. The specs on most sump pumps indicated they wont fit. A customer review indicated this one would and it did complete with float switch, with no room to spare. The swich is connected via stacked plug like some accessory float switches do, allowing some extra flexibility in controlling the pump run function. Good choice and good price. Also got here in less than two days.

I needed to replace a failed pump used to move septic tank effluent from an old system connected to the house uphill to a newer system on the property.
The line was only 3/4 PVC and the opening on the tank was 8" round. This pump was my best option. I had to enlarge the opening on one side and I tethered the float to a rod to keep the pump fully submerged at the optimum level range.
So far it's all working great and was an excellent value. If it's still going OK by summer I'm going to buy another one for gray water irrigation distribution.
