They conveniently don't show you the way the power cords work, yes there are two, this thing has two separate power cords one for the float, the second is for the pump they're not integrated the cords separate.... had I seen the two 10-ft cords with one plugs into the receptacle and then the pump plugs into that for the switching... I'd have bough something else It's misleading. They should take it back, this is why I hate these small companies and prefer Amazon... They make it so prohibitive to return anything you have to pay the shipping there you have to pay the shipping back... Just like I'm sure this review will never ever be posted

Piggyback style plug, pump can be run manually w/o switch
Having two cords, one for the pump and one for the switch allows the pump/switch to be serviced or replaced. This can extend the life of the pump/switch compared to a pump that has the float built-in.

Basement is quite dry. Want it to stay that way, hence the pump. It has not been real life tested but when I fill the sump it cuts on and pumps it down with no issues.

I was installing a radon mitigation system. I figured I’d replace the sump pump before sealing the crock. This is the same pump I’ve had for the last 11 years in my house. Pump has worked flawlessly for 11 years and my pump runs almost year round. Hope I get the same quality out of the new one!

I bought this pump to drain a low spot against my house foundation where water can sit for days after heavy rain. I dug out a hole and set a 5 gallon bucket in concrete at the lowest point. The pump fits perfectly in the bucket and does it’s job well. Also used it to drain my koi pond prior to cleaning it. I hope this pump is durable and lasts for years. It’s worked great the couple months I’ve had it.

This is the second one of these I have bought. The first one is still working fine but bought this has a backup just in case. The first one had a switch that went bad and ProFlo sent me another switch within 2 days. It was a snap to install. Very pleased.
