Short and sweet review: Hasn't missed a beat in 12 years. I do clean it off (along w/the pumps) a couple times a year (nothing fancy just use a semi-soft long brush).
Not sure if I purchased from Sump Pumps Direct or not, but I have purchased other items from them in the past.

I only gave it low marks for performance and value simply because I have not had the unit installed that long. One thing worth a mention is that if you decide to pair this with Pentairs Smart Sump pump device. It will not work with it. I hope this product does what is intended and provides years of safe reliable cycles and eliminate the need for a bulb type of float. We will see.

While I bought this in March 2019, I finally had it professionally installed on my brand new Zoeller N267 in November 2020. It was causing problems whereby it was causing the pump to short cycle - intermittently - for about 2 - 3 seconds. When I had the guys come out to fix a different problem, they looked at it, but seemed to be running fine. I mentioned it did this intermittently, and it was usually overnight when the water softener would regenerate and dump into the sump pit.
September 2, 2021 at 3AM, I woke up to the faint sound of my little water alarm to find the pump was not running at all. Nice fresh watered down sewage covered my finished basement floor due to the backup. I literally shook the discharge pipe and the pump magically kicked on and drained the pit, but then would not shut off. I unplugged it, and took 3 hours to clean the mess and put it back into the now open pit. I plugged the pump and Level Guard(less) back in, and nothing happened. Would not kick on.
I called my plumber back out and determined pretty quickly that this switch was not working correctly. We replaced it with a mechanical switch that now allows me to sleep at night.
Synopsis: 9 months after professional install, this thing failed. My plumber said he has only seen a few of these and did not have many good things to say about them. He said they seem to be problematic. Yep, that's what I would say as well. Steer clear. I would ask for my money back, but expect a hassle since I bought this in March 2019 and would have to find the paperwork to prove I had it installed in November 2020. and then probably have to pay for shipping to get this piece of junk shipped back to them. Too much of a headache.

Works like it says. I will not go back to float style pumps again, with the sensor no need to worry about float sticking. Worth the money to me.
