Battery Box Cables Are The Same Length

The pump and backup pump assembled easily. The battery box cables are the same length. Since the positive and negative terminals on the battery are on opposite ends one of the battery cables was too short. I contacted Sump Pumps Direct and Flotec and requested that they send me a cable extension. They refused to provide the part and suggested that I could return the entire pump assembly for a refund. That was a ridiculous suggestion. I went to an auto store and bought a battery cable extender for $5.99.

The Pump and Back-up Were Easy To install - See Details

The Flotec FPCC3320 is compact, easy to assemble, and easy to install. The instructions were fairly straightforward and easy to follow. It is quiet and seems powerful enough for my needs. The fact that the FPCC3320 monitors - and backs up - not only the AC power supply but also the actual condition of the primary pump itself is fantastic.
The only problem that I encountered was the positive (RED) lead (9.5") on the controller/charger, which was a few inches too short to reach the positive post on the Class 27 Marine/Deep cycle battery that I purchased (needed 13"). I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement controller/charger. The leads on the replacement were exactly the same length as the original, so I had to cut & splice in a longer piece of wire to make it work. (When I brought this to the manufacturer's attention, they never returned my emails.)
