Pump It

This pump was perfect for me. My basement is in a low area and requires a good reliable pump that runs often. Especially when it rains. I had this pump in the sump for the past 7 years before it failed. It was a Great pump and did the job well. I bought it again for the next 7 years. Quality made and reliable. A 5 star for sure.

Nicely Built, Great Value & 5 Year Warranty

Appeared to be a higher quality pump than the plastic body units I have seen. Nearly twice the volume of the old Flotec 1/3 Hp pump. Longer warranty and stainless body instead of plastic. I am not a plumber, and the install was amazingly simple screw in the outlet pipe and plug it in. Fairly quiet, too.

I live in northern Michigan and we got slammed with snow this April. It was unreal. We got 36” of snow in 3 days. Now it’s 60 degrees out. Talk about water. I have a river flowing under my basement. I have two sump pits hooked together. In the first pit I have a Wayne cast iron sewage 2” 5700 gph. The second pit I have the Flotec. Both of these pumps are running continuously. I mean they might a two minute break before the pit fills up again. The pumps have been running continuous like for the past 3 days! All day and night!
So what i am trying to get at is that the Flotec is doing great holding up to the continuous running. No tripping breakers, no switch failure, and no burning up. Knock on wood! Bringing up the float switch. I am so opposed to the float switches. I mean come on it 2018. There has to be a better system than this that doesn’t require me to spend an extra $100. Everyone in the world knows that these are going to fail and that is why i didn’t give it 5’s across the board. However, I say that and I am planning on buying another Flotec as a backup. It’s good and it’s at a great price.
